After a hard day of berry picking, wood hauling, lawn mowing, weeding and many other summer "do it" projects, I went fly fishing this evening. Caught 2 nice fish, released a nice cut-throat trout but kept this one. (Cut throat trout are supposed to be released. They are a native fish to the valley, a lot of fun to catch. They are called that because they have red coloring just in front of their gills so it looks like their throats were cut). Any way this is a nice 2 1/2 lb. eating fish for Sun dinner.
Looks like 2 footer now but it will grow the more I talk about it in the future.
This is a field fire in the hills in Corvallis, a small town 5 mi. N. of here. Was a lightning strike. Was a 3 alarm fire. We went to see the excitement on our way to have our date night supper with Granny and Grampa (my parents). Karren's picture.
