Eden mountaintop week

We got this condo high in the mountains (9000 ft. up) at Powder Mountain Ski area and it was calm and beautiful when we arrived Sat. Oct. 1.  Our kids & grandkids (except Scott) all came and spent part of the week with us -- We missed you Scott!  This is view off the balcony.

One of our activities was hiking.  This is just up the hill from our condo in the aspens.

They had a game room in the main lodge area.  Anna must have really smacked one.

They had this indoor swimming pool so we went every day.  The hot tub was Denny's favorite.

We came down the VERY Steep road on Tues. and went to this park in Ogden.  It is very well done and fun.  It was warm and sunny. 

Denny is getting run over by a fast-moving iguana!  We did some hammy things with this concrete iguanadon.

Lori had some creative crafts for us to work on like making the cloth necklaces and how to make crochet bead and wire necklaces.  Thanks girls for the fun and food.

Then a storm came in late Wed. and the warm fall days changed to the first blast of winter.  Had 4 to 6 inches of snow and sleet that froze our car doors and windows shut.

This is Tony and Tara cooking our steaks in the blizzard.  They turned out really good.
Funny, but we thawed the steak all day and went out to the grill where they froze again.
Well, I made up some of that...

Friday we got down off the VERY steep road to SLC, shopped at IKEA store, and was going to drive to Tony and Tara's house in Rexburg, when their van lost the water pump by Brigham City, so we had to have it towed. It was after hours so repair shops were closed.  We stayed Fri. night in a motel, got their car fixed Sat. morning, and on to Rexburg where we dropped their goods off and headed on home to Montana.  Now we are high in the valleys of the mountains,  remembering how much fun we had with our families.  Thank you family ...!!
